Marine Cooling & Heating
Comfort Systems
Self-Contained systems are ideal for smaller boats in which engine room space is limited.
All of the system components, except for the seawater pump and strainer, are built on a single low-profile chassis. It is normally installed under
a berth, in a closet or any other out-of-the-way location. Air is carried through flexible ducts to air grills for discharge into one or more compartments.
NEW! Cruisair Cuddy dc Kits
This new low-profile 3500 BTU self-contained unit is made for boats too small for an onboard genset. It is powered by a user-provided dedicated power module. Click here to see color flyer.
NEW! The Breeze
This new unit is a breakthrough in self-contained air conditioning systems. The horizontal compressor requires only 8" height for installation for location on the flybridge, cockpit, or any height critcal areas. These systems are are reverse cycle and are available in these capacities: 16,000 BTU (115V/60 Hz) or 13,000 BTU (230V/50 Hz).
StowAway Units
StowAway systems are easy to install in an existing boat, since the unit doesn't take up much space
and it can be installed without disrupting the boat's interior. The system's closed refrigerant loop is precharged at the factory, and no field charging is needed.
A pre-wired plug makes for easy, error-free electrical hookup. StowAways are available in
5,000-24,000 BTU capacities.
The 1987 Montreal Protocol calls for the gradual phase-out of ozone-depleting substances by 2010, including the R-22 gas traditionally used in marine air conditioning systems. Our engineers have been testing alternative "green gas" products for more than three years and we have products available.
